Heritage Marine Insurance to offer preferred rates to S&S Association Members. |
|
Heritage Marine Insurance, a leading source of marine
insurance for both contemporary and classic yachts, and the S&S Association
have developed a program to provide a special rate on yacht insurance
for its members and to foster the growth of our membership. Jim Cassidy,
an owner of Heritage Marine Insurance and a lifelong aficionado of S&S
designs said: "Everyone recognizes the beauty and intrinsic value of
an S&S designed yacht. At Heritage we also recognize the proven seaworthiness
of S&S designs which is such an important part of the legacy of S&S.
We believe members of associations which are based on enthusiasm and
respect for, and ownership of, certain fine boats to be the very best
of risks and clientele. No group more personifies and validates
that belief than owners of Sparkman & Stephens designed boats. For
that reason we are delighted to be able to join forces with the S&S
Association to help in building its membership ranks while offering
the best of insurance coverage at the most favorable rates."
"Here's how it works. Any S&S Association member, who insures his/her S&S boat with Heritage Marine Insurance, will be quoted the standard Heritage favorable boat premium and the S & S Association member's special premium. In almost every case we believe the savings to a member will greatly exceed the annual dues of the Association. Thus, you could say, your dues were paid for in the savings you earned by being a member and you saved money on your insurance to boot!". "To help increase membership, every time we are contacted for a quote by an S&S designed boat owner, we will automatically ask if they are a member of the S&S Association. If they are a member the special rate will be offered. If they are not a member we will quote them the standard rate premium and the special rate premium they would receive if they were to join. At that point, if they wish to join, we will send them an S&S Association Membership Application along with the insurance application paperwork. We fully expect that close to 100% of those who are not members when they contact us, will join because of the insurance cost savings and the benefits of being a member. We advertise in publications that reach many boat owners including those who own older or classic boats. We get thousands of inquiries and the percentage of these that are S&S boats is pretty high. So we anticipate being a very effective conduit for S&S owners to find their way to the association and thereby increasing the membership". |
